Add Item to Nemo Sidebar

Post by Appalbarry3 »

Arrgh! I know I did this once before.

How can I add an item to the Nemo Sidebar? Dragging the folder over to the Sidebar doesn't work. Creating a shortcut and dragging that over doesn't work.

I have done my requisite twenty minutes of Googling with no success, so help!

You can indeed drag and drop a folder to the side bar but you will have to do so carefully. When you drag the folder across you will see either a rectangular outline to indicate the target destination - in which case the folder will be dropped into the highlighted existing folder (such as Documents or Desktop). If you keep the cursor a bit to the right, it will indicate a line rather than a rectangle - release the mouse button then to add your folder to the list.

Is there also a way to forcibly add something to Network section?

I like forcible things sometimes :p.

Thanks!
