Blank screen on remote acess Cinnamon 17 via XRDP

Post by dimhr12 »

Good night!

I'm trying to acess Linux Mint 17 Cinnamon x64 from another notebook with Windows 8.1, but after login screen, show only a black screen.
I'm using XRDP version 0.6.0.

After some search, found that I'm not the only with this problem. This occurs in Ubuntu and other unix systems too. I do everything mentioned here (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1899111) adapted to Cinnamon session, and the problem persists (print attached). Somebody know a way to solve this? Appreciate any help.

Old problem. Please read http://forum.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.ph ... 22#p894322.
Try to add packages vnc4server and tightvncserver because xrdp only recommends them but doesn't depend on them. Even with that, I get "Do you want to restart Cinnamon? Cinnamon just crashed. You are currently running in Fallback mode". Other environments work better, so you can use XFCE.
You may try X2GO, it works fine but also not for Cinnamon.
