Is there any way you can change the color of the srollbar's handle in Cinnamon, so that it's easy to spot? It's amazing that, unlike in Xfce, I haven't found a theme that has a scrollbar and handle with contrasting colors.

Perhaps the Theme Mint-XP is what you like. You can get it with the theme settings of Cinnamon.

I tried all the XP themes and nothing changed as far as the scrollbar is concerned. Nothing.

(I normally use the SmoothPurple theme along with ConfigurableMenu's Kicker.)

That actually did it. Except that you forgot to mention that it should be done or picked in the Themes > Controls category. I picked .CinnXP_pkg.

In Xfce, you can do it simply by picking the Crux theme. Same thing with KDE via GTK.
