Keyboard Shortcuts not working

So I tried creating new keyboard shortcuts - was successful (been on mint 1 month), but for some reason, the old ones stopped working.

For windows-E, the file explorer would pop up

When I click on menu-and start typing the application name, the keystrokes focus on my previous application and ignores the menu.

Is there a way to reset this?

What is the coorrelation between this

I don't know - but both of them stopped working after I messed with the keyboard shortcuts

Regarding #1: Which shortcuts did stop working (some examples please)?

I rebooted, and they work fine now.

Weird
