[Brightness Down] key doesn't change screen brightness

Post by co-founders-club »

When I press [Brightness Up] key, screen brightness increases as expected, but when I press [Brightness Down] key it stays at the same level. I can still lower brightness with Power Manager slider but... I wish [Brightness Down] key worked.

I had exactly the same problem in latest Xubuntu LTS, and all I had to do to bring back control was to turn off checkbox in Power Manager with label "Let Power Manager control screen brightness" (or something like that). Unfortunately, I cannot see such feature in Linux Mint. Any advice?
