Battery Indicator stuck at 100%

Hi,

I installed Linux Mint Cinnamon on my Dell Inspiron laptop about two months ago, and everything was working fine until last week. I let my laptop charge completely when it was suspended, and then I resumed using it. I found that the battery indicator in the panel (the power management widget) was stuck at 100%. It started to display the correct percentage only after a reboot. Now I'm having this issue every time I charge my laptop. Acpi also displays the wrong percentage in the terminal. Can someone please help me out?

It happens on and off now, but never happened last month. It could be because of one of the updates I installed. I'm not sure how I can fix it.
