Nemo: desktop refresh

Post by mideal »

Hi!
Is there any way to refresh the icons on the desktop, e.g. after changing icon positions with

Code: Select all

gvfs-set-attribute ~/Desktop/Textfiles.desktop metadata::nemo-icon-position 1000,800
other than restarting nemo as desktop manager using
nemo-desktop -q;nemo-desktop
?
The idea is:
I use the wdis.sh by garolou I found here viewtopic.php?t=118540#p672189 to switch wallpapers per workplace.
That's pretty nice, e.g. having a red coloured background for really important things or sudo work is eye-catching.
Now it would be a plus if I could change the layout of icons, links and shortcuts per workplace, too, e.g. having sheat sheets on my development workplace only,
and some folder shortcuts with letters, spreadsheets and such only on my business workplace.
