Nemo sidebar shortcuts [SOLVED]

Post by bug67 »

Recently installed Linux Mint 18.2 on my 2013 15" MacBook Pro Retina. LOVE IT! Everything works (except the iSight webcam) and the retina display makes Mint shine like 10,000 suns!

However, I have a little problem I need some help with. On my other 3 systems running the exact same OS, Nemo's side bar has all the shortcuts listed under "My Computer." On the Mac, some are listed under my computer and some are listed under "Bookmarks." I have poured over google and these forums (along with others) as well as all the system settings I can think of. I can't for the life of me get all the shortcuts on the Mac to show up only under My Computer. What am I missing? Thanks in advance.

How it is on the Mac:

How it is on all my other machines and how I want it:

Mine ended up like that at one point. I fixed it by dragging the ones out of "Bookmarks" and dropping them into the "My Computer" area. See if drag & drop works for you.

You're welcome. I don't know why that happens, but you've probably not seen the last of that issue. The good new is that next time you'll be ready :D
