Serious bug in Linux Mint 18.2 Cinnamon
I have found bug in Linux Mint 18.2 Cinnamon. When I plug second display to my notebook, I can lock my screen, then close lid and main display turns off but second works. If I open lid, main and second displays will work and I will have ability to use my notebook on second display without input my password. System info https://gist.github.com/anonymous/f7eec ... fb5bf43309. The video showing bug https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BwXXH ... 2VFdkF3d0U

I doubt that Cinnamon has anything to do with it. Does anything show up in Mint Driver Manager for that card? From a quick search I think you want the 340 Legacy driver.
Don't dl it from nvidia's site ... that's a common beginner mistake. I know that looks obvious to a Windows user but in Linux those drivers rarely work.

But I have installed Open-source driver for Nvidia graphic card. And I have tried this bug on notebook with Intel graphic adapter, and this bug has worked.Hoser Rob wrote:I doubt that Cinnamon has anything to do with it.
