How to not change windows when middle click the bar

Post by pbcerqueira »

I often close tabs in the Firefox or other browsers with the middle click function, but it made me change windows some times with its something very annoying. Is there a way to change just this function? I rather just use alt +tab to do so.

To fix this, please go to the Firefox Preferences panel, and make sure the Tabs > Open new windows in a new tab instead preference is not checked.

Then, type - about:config - in your location bar.

In the page that appears, please click the "I'll be careful" button. In the search bar at the top of the page, type "browser.tabs.opentabfor.middleclick." Set the preference that is shown to false by double-clicking it.
