I receive an error when I try to update the cache:
"An error occurred while trying to access the server. Please try again in a little while.
Details: HTTP Error 400: Bad Request"
This does not happen when updating the cache on the applets or extensions manager. Please help!

Why do you write, that it crashes? Nothing what you wrote points to a crash.
Besides that: You are now the 2nd in a few days, who complains about the problem. Perhaps this discussion will help you.
