Help - I need to know how to reset my display's resolution

Post by mintyfreshuser » Sat Dec 30, 2017 10:21 pm

Hi.

I changed my display's resolution in Linux Mint and now the screen is relatively blurry. I would like to reset my display's resolution to make everything look the weay it did before I changed my display's resolution, but I don't see that option anywhere.

Thank you for any help you can provide.

That is the Display. System Settings/Hardware/Display. Simply type "display" in the menu search box.

A blurry screen does not sound like a resolution problem to me but reset it and let us know. :)

Try this:
Open the file manager and make hidden files visible. Now go into the folder .config inside of your home. Rename the file monitors.xml to monitors.xml.bck. Now log out and back into your account. You can revert it, if you want.
