Hello,
I've been running Mint 18.3 for about a month. A couple days ago I decided to dual boot with Ubuntu Mate 17.10. After running Mate for a few days I thought I would give Cinnamon some love so I selected it on restart, however, when I logged onto Mint all I got was a blank screen. Upon boot the Mint logo comes up, then the login screen, but after I enter my password I get nothing. Can't quite figure out what's going on. Is it a case of Mate and Mint don't play nice ? Any suggestions as to how I can fix this problem ?

Re: blank screen after login
Don't know what happened but now everything is working just fine.
The previous night I tried to logon 3 or 4 times and got what I wrote in my post.
Today, no problem, I'm able to access both distros without any issues.
