Hi,
Linux Mint 18 with Cinnamon was working fine last time I opened it (months ago).
But today, it displays a black rectangle and no menu bar.

Only the black rectangle is active (right click), the rest is numb.
Using another tty I top to check for zombies or else, I don't see anything, but I might be wrong.

Networking is not connected so it's not related.
Any idea?
Thanks

What happens when you boot into Recovery mode (it's in the Grub bootloader menu)?

Thanks.
I tried multiple things. Long story short: Cinnamon reset did it.
