[SOLVED] Keyboard repeating not working occasionally

Post by arykalin »

Hi all, I'm using Cinnamon 3.6.7 on Mint 18.3 Sylvia on Thikpad t440p. From time to time keyboard repeating stops working, enable\disable "key presses repeat" in keyboard settings or plugoff\plugin keyboard can fix the problem, but it's a bit annoying. This bug also appears with different USB keyboards. Does anybody know what it might be and where I should look for debug?
P.S. I didn't not guess to check if it working on builtin keyboard, I will check it next time this bug will appear.

if you still have the original Live Install Medium,
then boot with that and check if any of those keyboards will then continue working.

Keyboard autorepeat stopped working with upgrade from Mint 19 to Mint 20. Application settings does not fix the problem.

However, "xset r on" solves the problem.
