[SOLVED] SNAP, Tile, Maximize all relocate windows to main monitor

Post by ignitus »

I just setup a new laptop with a nVidia Quadro P3000 driving 2 Dell U2412M Monitors. I was able to use the native display utility to configure the two monitors, but I am seeing some strange behavior I can't seem to fix.

I can drag windows between the two monitors, but if I use super+arrow key or the maximize button the windows jump back to the primary monitor with the main panel. If I drag the windows to the top of the screen the tile overlay shows on the primary window and when I release it the window is moved to the primary monitor snapped to the top of the screen. All of the above function works as it should on the primary screen but ignores the existence of the second screen completely.

I just noticed I can't add panels to the second monitor either. Its almost like the desktop doesn't acknowledge it exist at all.

Updated drivers to 384.111 and it resolved this issue.

I had originally used nvidia-settings to change my PRIME profile from intel to nvidia, but it seems using the driver utility was a better option.
