Jarring - image tear

Post by smudge »

Hi all, I'm using Mint (Cinnamon) on a pretty high end PC with Nvidia drivers. Recently I've noticed when copying large files that I get mouse jumping and image jarring and not sure why? Best example is trying to watch YouTube while copying, the playback pauses and mutes so I can only imagine 100% resources are being used to copy files and there's no buffer available? Can I test this or change the settings?

Code: Select all

System: Host: ???? Kernel: 4.10.0-38-generic x86_64 (64 bit)
Desktop: Cinnamon 3.6.7 Distro: Linux Mint 18.3 Sylvia
