[SOLVED] Add Document Shortcut to Panel

[SOLVED] Add Document Shortcut to Panel

Hello guys!
I have a problem with Shortcuts... I know how to make it, but can't. When I writhe a command there is no "accept".

And path contains lower case with no spaces, and backslashes...

Hello,
all you have to do is click the ok botton there is no save or accept in Cinnamon once you click ok it should show in the menu.

What you may be missing is the need to open the document with an acceptible text or document program.

that command would be for instance if you wanted to open it in xed the mint text editor your entry would be like this

/usr/bin/xed "Name of document you want to open" 
place the full path that points to the document such as /home/<your user name>/<name of document> place that within the quotes. good luck.
if you wanted to use libreoffice to open it you would use this command

libreoffice --writer %U "/home/username/name of document"

I'm sorry...

It SOLVED!

That file was not executable... I've clicked on it two times LMB and choose "mark executable file and run" or something like that. And have tried again... Now it works
