i'm on cinnamon 3.6.4 / mint 18.3
i have :
CPU: AMD A8-5600K
GPU: NVIDIA GT 740 on driver NVIDIA384
RAM: 8GB
MOTHERBOARD: FM2-A85XA-G65
HARDDRIVE: 1TB TOSHIBA + 160GB SEAGATE
the desktop is very laggy, when clicking on folders or dragging them ... or while creating new files ... ect (usual desktop operations)

Post inxi details, from a terminal execute:

hello, so the issue was with nemo, i disabled the plugins and it's much better now
