[SOLVED] Stop a folder opening automatically.

Post by redninja »

Is there any way of stopping Nemo automatically expanding/opening folders when the mouse hovers over it. I have a folder with 27000+ files in and it is really annoying when I am adding 20 or so files to it and then it opens up the 27000. All i want to do is drag and drop, not for the folder to open.

I have never seen or heard, that Nemo opens a folder by hovering it. And as you are talking about drag and drop, which needs the mouse button to get clicked, I merely believe, that you have set Nemo to open folders by single click. Change that setting back to double click (= default). You find it in the behavior settings at the top.

Problem fixed, when in list view and hovering over a folder the folder WILL expand to show the files contained therein. However switch to Icon view and the folder does not expand.
