Does anyone know of a way to edit the default settings applied to newly created users?
To give you a little background on XFCE it is possible to alter the default desktop profile so that those settings are applied to all new users when they are created on the system. Essentially you created a user, logged on as that user and configured the desktop as you wanted. Then logged off as that user and copied certain files to /etc/skel/.config/xfce4/.
I did find a post where someone had managed to use the output of dconf to generate a script viewtopic.php?t=113936 which could be run to apply preferred settings and this may be the route I have to go down. Is there any way of doing this directly to the default desktop?
