Been using Mint for several years without issue. Booted successfully this morning and was using everything fine. However, after I installed updates Firefox froze up (was one of the updates), so I rebooted. That is when I had an issue. I can no longer reboot into the desktop. I get to the login screen but when I sign in I get an error, which is "Your session only lasted 10 seconds...". When I go to 'View Details' it says:
"initctl: Unable to connect to Upstart: Failed to connect to socket /com/ubuntu/upstart: Connection refused
"syndaemon: no process found
/etc/mdm/Xsession: Beginning session setup...
localuser:xxx being added to access control list
cinnamon-session: error while looading shared libraries: libwayland-egl.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
I've tried some basic stuff with apt-get (install, clean, install -f) and tried reinstalling libwayland-egl1-mesa, but it didn't help.
If anyone has any ideas to help out, that would be great.
Thanks
