Hello all,

Pretty much what the topic says. It takes literally like two minutes to open a file folder and beyond that it loads interminably. I tried restarting Cinnamon using alt+f2+r but no dice. Below is my output from inxi -Fxz

Those two, old hardware and a new kernel, don't go well together, and the situation is going to get worse because there's a concerted effort to remove lots of old code from the Linux kernel. You might need to consider dropping back to Mint 18.3, or a distro with an older kernel that provides better support for ageing hardware.
