Shortcut to change focus between displays?

I would like the ability to change focus between my monitors. Sometimes I have an application open on each of my monitors that is controlled primarily through keyboard shortcuts, so it is an annoyance to have to reach for the mouse just to click a fullscreen window on my other monitor.

I've heard mention of a utility called switchscreen, but I can't seem to find it anywhere anymore and don't know if it would work with Cinnamon. Does anyone know an easy way to do this? Or maybe it would it be fairly straightforward to write an extension for Cinnamon that does it?
