Running LM19 Cinnamon 32-bit.
Using tightvnc with xfce4 session for VNC - works fine.
On boot If tightvncserver has been started/run (/usr/bin/tightvncserver), at the login (user/password), the xfce destop background is displayed rather than the Linux Mint/Cinnamon background. The Cinnamon [Default] DE is shown as selected when I check to see which DE is selected, and the system boots as expected into the Cinnamon DE.
This behavior also occurs if the tightvnc server is killed (/usr/bin/tightvncser -kill :<display>) prior to restart.
It doesn't matter if VNC is accessed or not...
If the tightvnc server is NOT started, the correct Cinnamon DE backgound is displayed on boot screen.
I auto-logon is allowed the system boots into Cinnamon...
Any ideas, help, much appreciated!!!
Thanks
at login screen, xfce background displayed rather than default cinnamon background
