[Feature request] Thunderbolt devices management GUI

Post by jasl »

Hi, since more and more laptops and PCs support Thunderbolt, is there any plan to add a Thunderbolt devices management GUI to Cinnamon? and Panel applet like Bluetooth too.

BTW, Ubuntu 18.04 has one (at Settings -> Devices -> Thunderbolt)

Thanks

Then that means you can install thunderbolt-tools in Mint. I don't know if it provides a GUI but here are some references that will tell you wjhat's available:

They only provide CLI, although it works, but if Cinnamon has a GUI like Gnome does, that would be better

If Gnome has a gui and it's in the repositories then install it.

I did a little research, It probably be implemented in Gnome-control-center (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour ... ug/1773378) which duplicates with Cinnamon System Settings I think.

There's an article about Gnome thunderbolt support https://christian.kellner.me/2018/04/23 ... fedora-28/

I install the package, but it shows blank UI, I'm not familiar with Gnome packages, could you give me some hints?
