Linux Mint messed up my folders arrangement on the desktop
After restarting Mint has messed up my Desktop folders and icons, which were grouped by subject. How can I restore the previous arrangement? Cinnamon desktop.

It may default to auto arrange, try right clicking the desktop to see if there's a way to turn that off.

So, anybody knows how to solve a problem?
Re: Linux Mint messed up my folders arrangement on the desktop
On 18.3 Cinnamon this problem exists since I started using Mint.
When plugging in an external device, USB penn drive/HDD or telephone/SDcard, the icon will appear on top of another existing icon.
Icon's will sometimes rearrange... and so on.
Have not found a solution.

So, any solution till now exists?
Re: Linux Mint messed up my folders arrangement on the desktop
Have you tried doing as Hoser Rob suggests??
Right mouse click on a space in the Desktop - Customize - turn off Auto Arrange.
Pippin,
Can't you just go to Desktop settings & turn off Mounted Drives so that they don't cause an issue??

No such option at all (there is no "Customize" row).
But it isn't a question and matter is not in that

No, I like when it shows up.
And would like to arrange the icons, like I wrote then, it is still the case on 18.3 Cinnamon.
