PIA (Private Internet Access) app v .69
As part of a project to automate connecting/disconnecting PIA using a script, I've noticed I'm unable to use the screenshot function when the PIA tray icon is active.
When I mouse hover over the pia tray icon, I press Ctrl-PrintScreen and a screen grab occurs no problem.
When I right-click the pia tray icon to display the menu, Ctrl-PrintScreen no longer works.
This behavior does happen when the other tray icon menu's are opened.
I have worked around the problem by using the delay feature of gnome-screenshot, but I'm wondering why the keyboard shortcut isn't working. Any cinnamon gurus have any ideas?

It's the same on MATE, open menus block all global keyboard shortcuts. It's rather annoying but you get used to it.
