Cinnamon 3.6.7 memory leak

Post by Pepi »

My Cinnamon process will creep up in memory even with my computer idle. Anyway to fix this problem? I've got so I restart everyday to get the memory back. Do the other desktops leak memory like Cinnamon? Thanks

Did you install any additional applets, desklets, themes or extensions?

Yep ... Glipper, Shutter and the Weather. You think this is doing this? Should I make them only run on my demand?

Don't know but such things have been cause of high memory use in the past. Might be worth disabling them, restarting and then doing the compare on memory use again. If for no other reason than to rule them out.
