prevent language switch in some gui applications

Post by amigo421 »

is there an ability to prevent lang switching ?

I mostly talk about apps like an IDEs where combination Alt+Shift is in use for internal shortcuts.
and please do not suggest to bind lang on other keys, Alt+Shift is absolutely okay and comfortable for me

Thank you

Do you mean you're searching for an option to disable—in certain programs only—the global keyboard shortcut for switching keyboard input method/language? I don't think that's possible. You could change the shortcut key to something else or possibly disable the input method switcher when you don't need it.

really I replaced lang switch to alt+caps - and it works

however I'm working in IDE (C++ Clion), which uses a lot of system shortcuts,
I don't want to remove system shortcuts or redefine IDE's shortcuts,
and would like to have disabled system's shortcuts in case of app (C++ IDE in my case) is active (in focus)

any idea how to set up this?
