When I attempted to create a launcher to replicate the issue, my CPU raced to 80-90% use and after a minute a crash report popped up so took a look at details before send and noticed at bottom of report it lists:
"UnreportableReason: This is not an official Linux package. Please remove any third party package and try again."
Needless to say, no desktop launcher was otherwise created in the process.
I am unable to copy the report so have attached a screenshot of error report blame line and traceback and will try to send report again as well.
edit to add: other thread mention of 4.0.9 and desktop launcher creation issue: viewtopic.php?f=208&t=285360
