Qt apps like vlc when I move mouse over them they disapear

I've tried various settings whitout sucess(desktop effects off/qt5 settings/windows behavior/mouse focus mode)
I'm using a Nvidia card, but it happens without the card and also on another PC with intel haswell processor and no graphic card...

your video link is dead. start with changing all your themes to a mint-y theme then logoff

apparently the anomally only happens when using the -traditional desktop layout- the video link works

yes most themes for mint 19.1 have not been updated . i like the traditional but it's a hit or miss with them in mint 19.1 cinnamon

It's not only Qt apps, and with either versions of the desktop(traditional/modern)
