Margin around Close Button hinders closing windows

Post by kardaw » Thu Aug 15, 2019 4:43 pm

So normally, when a window is maximized, I move the cursor into the right corner, click, and the window closes - without focusing my eyes on it. This is comfortable on big 2.5K and 4K displays.

The same thing I have in browsers. Above the tabs bar there is no gap. I just move the cursor to the top, never going too far, and the tab is switched.
It feels so comfortable to me on Windows, every corner and the top/bottom edge has its function I often use.

Why isn't that on Linux distros so? The same problem I had in Zoris OS Lite, Ubuntu Mate.
Xubuntu's Greybird window theme has its trick for it, but it doesn't look good. It's a trimmed vertical "X" button on the right side.

Here's my Fiddle for it: JSFiddle

It is not a problem in Cinnamon. It was on the Mate Desktop. I thought, because the look of a window is the same. I installed Cinnamon 2 days ago.
