I have a ASUS T101A 2-in-1 laptop.
My environment:
Devuan 2.0 ("Ascii")
Cinnamon 3.2.7
Xorg 1.19.2
The power level applet in the panel that comes with cinnamon (I have it enabled of course) does not seem to ever update! It is always stuck at the same battery level and remaining time on battery as when the desktop was first started (i.e., when I logged into cinnamon from the display manager).
It appears that upowerd is running, and I've even installed acpid, but no happiness there either.
But note that acpi(1) from the command line works fine, updating both battery level and time remaining appropriately (the amounts decrease as minutes pass).
Is there a tweak or trick to make this work? Tia.
[PS I've been noting several people around the net who have suggested various scripts, usually run from cron, to keep some custom panel applet updated].

https://github.com/linuxmint/cinnamon/issues/7505. This is a known issue apparently.
