My system is running perfectly except for this extremely annoying problem. I'm on an XPS15" 9560, and using a Targus USB docking station (displaylink).
Everything is working nicely, except that sometimes on boot the external screens are not recognized. I can then login fine (with docking station connected keyboard & mouse & ethernet) but to get the external displays to work, I need to unplug the connector, and plug it in again. The annoying thing then, is that cinnamon restarts, I have to login again, and all previously open work is lost... is there any way around this?
Been on Linux Mint full time for around a year now, but still feel like a beginner, so please talk slowly
