Screen identifying panels in dual monitor setup interfering with screen

Post by DaveC49 »

Just installed LM20 and its looking good apart from one small feature. I have dual monitors setup and display setup now puts two identifying panels in the upper left of each screen which I cannot find anyway of removing. When i have windows in full screen mode (usually) these sit directly over the tabs/menu or navigation features on a window. I don't need to know what my monitors are except perhaps during the setup of the displays but certainly not afterward and the interference of these with applications I am using is annoying to say the least ( raises expletives everytime I try to go back on a browser for example).

Whoever thought this was a good idea - it wasn't! Could we plaeas get rid of it ASAP or only have it displayed when the display setup applet is running. Restarting Cinnamon doesn't help

My mistake. I had a hidden copy of the applet open.
