How to configure different types of antialiasing for each monitor?

Post by rev_b »

Hi there. Finally returned to Linux as my main OS on my laptop.
I use it as a desktop also with an external monitor, a LG 43UN700-B.

Problem is, pixel arrangement in laptop monitor is RGB and in external is BGR.

Font selection only gives me one option to select RGBA order, so one of the monitors always displays slighty blurry fonts because of incorrect antialiasing.

On Windows 10, one can adjust different cleartype settings for each monitor.

How to do it on Linux Mint 20?

There is also a font antialiasing with gray values - at least in MATE and Cinnamon.
Perhaps that would be a useful compromise.

It would also be very useful if you could post the terminal output of the inxi -Fxz command ...
Linux Mint 18.3 Sylvia (MATE) 32-bit - Acer D250 Netbook
Linux Mint 20 Ulyana (Cinnamon) 64-bit - Huawei MateBook X Pro
