I recently had a crash that syslog shows is due to a general protection fault in cinnamon. I have attached a zip containing the section of syslog pertaining to the crash. Is this the appropriate place to report this? Is there a way to avoid a repeat performance?

Re: general protection fault in LM 18.3 x64 cinnamon
I can't answer that, but support for 18.3 is about to end in April. So, it might be a good time to upgrade to 20.x or at least 19.x.

Had not realized support was ending that soon.
Now that I am looking into it I see that 20.1 has two Cinnamon releases. What is the difference between them? I don't recognize "Edge" as meaning anything with regards to Cinnamon.

PS: nevermind, looked it up. Didn't realize they needed to offer bleeding edge for some users.
