Hello,
I need a mail notification applet for my system tray. Unfortunately gmail notifier offered from Cinnamon is broken. Mailnag works kind of well but it only does that: it notifies you about new, incoming mails.
In xfce there was this plugin *mailwatcher* that was tracking your email and when there was a new one, opened the email app for you.
Is there something similar for linux mint?
I am also aware of the user script option in mailnag but no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get it to work. I am using thunderbird as my default email client.

xfce4-mailwatch-plugin is in my Software Manager. It has good reviews, but none for the last 6 years.
