xrdp session closes when lid is closed

Hello,

I am using Mint 20.1 with xrdp set up so that I can remote from Windows 10 into my Linuxmint laptop.
This mostly works, but only while the lid of the Linuxmint laptop is open.
When I close the lid while I am remoted into the laptop, the remote session will get closed.
When the lid is closed and I try to remote in, I only get an empty screen.
Once I reopen the lid, the screen comes back.

I do already have power management set to do nothing when the lid is closed, and "Perform lid closed action even with external monitors attached" is disabled as well. I also tried playing with the screensaver's screen lock settings, but they did not change anything either.

What do I need to do for the remote session to keep working when I close the lid on the Linuxmint laptop?
IS this a cinnamon issue or an xrdp issue?
