When more than one user is logged in and a USB (or other media) is plugged in the request for authentication is displayed on a user other than the active one. To access the media it is then necessary to login as the alternate user and to dismiss the dialog.
The "error" is Unable to mount. An operation is already pending.

Re: Multiple logins and removable media
How do you have more than one user logged in?
If you have found the solution to your initial post, please open your original post, click on the pencil, and add (Solved) to the Subject, it helps other users looking for help, and keeps the forum clean.
Re: Multiple logins and removable media
OK, logged in may not be quiet correct, although perfectly feasible if I access the box remotely. This is when several users have logged in but are dormant. i.e. you can switch between them using ctrl-alt-F7/F8/F9 etc. the dialog appears on one of the dormant users sessions and not the active session screen. So to enable access to the removable media I have to access the "other" users sessions and dismiss the authentication dialog.
Can I simple disable the requirement to authenticate removable media?
