BUG affecting Multiple desktops since last update

Post by Thilroy »

Hi,

I've got a very annoying bug since performing last updates begin of this week :
When using the active corners to switch to another desktop by clicking on a window in that desktop, it just "flee" to the last active desktop I was using.
The only way I can focus the display on a specific window is to drag/click it to the already active desktop. Every time I try to switch Desktop, the window I was clicking flee back.
Is there someone who already encountered/fixed the same problem ?

Here's my setup : https://termbin.com/1mym

Welcome to the forum, Thierry.

Everyone does not do updates as soon as they are available, so we would not know what updates you did. If you open Update Manager and select View > History of Updates, you can see what you recently added to your system to give us an idea of what changed on your system.

If you periodically take Timeshift snapshots, you can roll back to a snapshot and then test the updates either one at a time or in small groups to determine which one might have caused the issue.

I guess that the origin of the problem must lie in the highlighted lines...
I am doing a timeshift image everyday, but I didn't try to revert back. I will but I am pretty sure of what will happen.

Thanks again for your time,

Thierry

Those updates had bug fixes in them. I do not know how they might affect your situation, but if they do then you may want to post on Github so the developers know of this issue.

Done : https://github.com/linuxmint/cinnamon/issues/10253

Thanks, I hope I get a solution soon. Pretty surprised nobody else reported it.
I had recently added two desklets, uninstalled them without change alas.
