Nemo 5.0.3
Linux Mint 20.2 Cinnamon
Nemo seems to have lost the ability to move files/folders to the Trash. It does not respond to the Delete key at all; however, if I press Shift-Delete, it will ask if I want to permanently delete the file.
My Nemo does not have a contextual menu option to Move to Trash; however the Cinnamon desktop does.
I'm sure it is not permissions. I have tried this on many files and folders, some created by me in one of my directories. Also, the desktop and the rm command work fine - even without sudo.
I have looked through the Nemo preferences several times and cannot find a related item. I've changed some of the Behavior-Trash settings just to see if anything changes, but this behavior persists.
Anyone got a guess?
Mike

Re: Nemo lost ability to move to Trash
It seems OK. Just to be sure, are you talking about the issue on the / home partition or about a trash located on a different filesystems.
What happens when you toggle location entry in Nemo and enter

Re: Nemo lost ability to move to Trash
trash:/// opens Trash, just as the desktop icon does.
Thanks for helping out. It seems to have magically fixed itself.
