I use a single panel on the top of the page and I was wondering if it's possible for the title and menu bars to be incorporated in it when a window is maximized. Both of them would be fantastic but either of them would be nice. This behavior may be familiar from MacOS.
I don't like how much space they take up together and I don't like automatically hiding the panel because it always triggers when I don't want it, never triggers quick enough when I want it and I can't glance at the time whenever I want.
So is it possible with in Mint Cinnamon, how can I set it up, or if it isn't, is there an app I can install that does this?
Thanks!

If you really want to simulate the behavior of macOS, you would have to install Global Menus. As far as I know, this only works with KDE Plasma - if at all...

This Cinnamon extension can sort of achieve what you want - https://cinnamon-spices.linuxmint.com/e ... ns/view/73
Out of the box it hides the metacity titlebar for maximised applications, but you can still use the grouped window list context menu on the panel to unmaximise / close etc, or keyboard shortcuts.
However major caveat is it doesn't work on client side decorated windows (e.g many Gnome family apps).
