Game minimizes itself after opening

Post by Lil_Yolk »

As the topic states, I have trouble with certain games (Battlefield 1 in Proton and Escape From Tarkov in Lutris) opening and staying minimized, if I ALT-TAB to switch back to the game, then it opens for a second and then goes back to the Taskbar. However, I can still hear the audio when it isn't maximized. The restore function does not work on Tarkov.

Not confident I could solve this, not a gamer, but I do know that there's no useful info for anyone else to go on. Copy/paste the text output of inxi -Fxxxrz run in the termnail.

Hello,

I ran in the same issue. Did you solve it?
I already tried forcing to launch windowed with steam launch options, but that didnt help. My research until now showed most people seem to have a slightly different issue like the game minimising when losing focus after receiving a chat message. But in our case the game minimises after launch. Clicking on the icon will only briefly pull it up before minimising again. Game appears to be running as I can see the main menu for the splitsecond the game is open. I hope someone can give me a use full direction where I could dig for a solution or maybe even help to solve the issue.

Best regards
Michael
