I'm using the latest Cinnamon version.
By the file manager(Nemo), you can choose preference items. Then the chosen items will come to this "preferences."
What confused me is that I do not know how to delete items which I chose by mistake using Nemo.
Please let me know how to do so.
( Do you use dconf editor or some terminal commands ?)

Re: how to delete items in "preferences" in menu
Hi kenchan, welcome to the forums.
It is possible to undo your choices simply by going back into nemo preferences and de-selecting the options you first chose. No need to "delete" anything.
Hope this helps. Andy
