[SOLVED] Cinnamon 21 Update Transparent Panel Extension not working

I have successfully updated from Cinnamon 20.3 to 21 apart from Transparent Panel Extension which is not working. Is it just me or has anyone else got this problem? I seem to remember a similar happening in the last major update and it resolved itself after waiting patiently for a few weeks if my ageing memory serves me correct!! Regards to all.

This extension has not been updated in the last 2 months. It is broken for LM 21. (As to be seen by the comments on the website).

You can edit cinnamon.css to accomplish the same goal.

Just download your favorite theme or copy it from /usr/share/themes to ~/.themes with a different name, look for #panel section in cinnamon.css eg:

color: #ffffff;
background-color: transparent;
font-weight: normal;
height: 26px;
width: 32px;
}

if the cinammon.css in your theme lacks this section add it like:

#panel {
background-color: transparent;
}

You can edit cinnamon.css to accomplish the same goal.

Not exactly. With this method, no option to prevent panel staying transparent with maximised windows. Also, no semi-transparent option.

You can download the update through your extension settings.

Seems to be working fine now.
