Suddenly unable to "change desktop background" + better-backgrounds applet not working

[Beneficial-Tarot]

Was working couple of weeks ago, suddenly stopped today.
Also Cinnamon Applet : Better Backgrounds has stopped working. (better-backgrounds@simonmicro)

Applet doesn't show up in panel any more!

EDIT- Strangely the wallpaper change is reflected on the locked screen but NOT as the wallpaper when desktop unlocked!!!
