In both Gnome 2 (Mint 10 & 11) and in Gnome 3 shell (Mint 12) it is possible to show Evolution appointments on the panel calendar. Is there a way to do this in Cinnamon?

Cinnamon is under heavy development; the applet and extensions system was shared earlier how to develop for it (http://cinnamon.linuxmint.com/?p=156). It is now up to a developer to build this 
One-by-one the old favourites come back, perhaps this one also. Any developer is free to add it.

Thanks for the reply. Hopefully this is "down the road." I am not a developer, nor a programmer, but I hope someone picks up on this. In Gnome 2 & 3, the panel calander can not only display Evolution appointments, but also be synced with Google Calander, something I find very useful.
