I upgraded from Mint 18.3 Cinnamon. Everthing is nice except for the browser fonts for Chrome and Chromium. I have changed the fonts in the Settings for both but they don't change. I have changed the default fonts in the settings in Minut, but that doesn' resolve the issue, either. I have attached a screenshot.
Is there another setting available?

Unusual. I would guess a permissions issue. Try reinstalling Chrome and Chromium after first backing up bookmarks?

me too.... i can change font, but all font at low size (8-9-10px) are very ugly
tried antialias, hinting, etc with no success
